After years of falling just short of CrossFit’s ultimate goal, Laura Horvath finally ascended the sport’s highest mountain when she earned the title of<\/strong> 2023 Fittest Woman on Earth\u00ae<\/a><\/strong>. As the runner-up in 2018 and 2021 and a podium finisher in 2022, Horvath’s moment of glory was a long time coming<\/a>. At just 26 years old, with no clear dominant CrossFit queen in place, the Hungarian athlete’s reign may also just be near its inception. It doesn’t seem like Horvath is taking this platform lightly. <\/p>\n

In her post-victory interview at the 2023 CrossFit Games, Horvath discussed what it means to be a role model as a first-time winner of the Games<\/strong>. The athlete, who is stockily and appropriately built to thrive in an intense sports environment like CrossFit, shared an enlightening answer as someone clearly prepared to set a quality example in the years to come. <\/p>\n
