As the <a data-lasso-id=\"197337\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/2022-crossfit-games-day-five-results\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">two-time reigning Fittest Man on Earth\u00ae<\/a>, the 23-year-old has joined the legendary <a data-lasso-id=\"197338\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/rich-froning-jr-crossfit-retirement-team-division\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">Rich Froning Jr.<\/a> (2011-2014) and <a data-lasso-id=\"197339\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/rob-kearney-mat-fraser-mal-obrien-overhead-training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">Mat Fraser<\/a> (2016-2020) as only the third Men&#8217;s CrossFit athlete to win the title on at least two occasions. Now, as the start of the 2023 CrossFit Open nears on Feb. 16, 2023 \u2014 while Medeiros prepares for his next hopeful title defense \u2014 he gave a recent intimate look at his <a data-lasso-id=\"197340\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/emom-training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">training<\/a> process. <\/p>\n<p>On Feb. 4, 2023, Medeiros posted a video on his YouTube channel <strong>where he gives a full tour of his custom home gym<\/strong>. After all, the multi-faceted implement comprises an entire wall. Per Medeiros, the athlete seems to utilize it as a storage device, like for his resistance bands. Most often, though, it lets Medeiros factor in various kinds of bars for different movements, such as <a data-lasso-id=\"197343\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/pull-ups-for-beginners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">pull-ups<\/a> and muscle-ups. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cWe have all the pull-up bars set to the height like they have at the CrossFit Games &#8230;,&#8221; Medeiros said. &#8220;We have the boards just to do, like, different types of grips, to do hangs, pull-ups &#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 id=\"squat-rack-storage\">Squat Rack, Storage<\/h3>\n<p>Just below Medeiros&#8217;s steel rig is a <a data-lasso-id=\"197344\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/back-squat-vs-front-squat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">squat rack<\/a> that has a full set of bumper plates and <a data-lasso-id=\"197345\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/best-arm-workouts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">dumbbells<\/a> adjacent to one another, including a range of dumbbells from five pounds to 125 pounds. If that weren&#8217;t enough, there&#8217;s a shelf of <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/best-kettlebell-exercises\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\" data-lasso-id=\"197505\">kettlebells<\/a>, up to 70 pounds, and even more bumper plates right next to this additional storage. <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"steel-arch\">Steel Arch <\/h3>\n<p>According to Medeiros, where he has his steel arch is the &#8220;coolest part of the gym.&#8221; The arch connects both ends of his steel rig and lets him hang tools like Olympic rings and ropes over it. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never been on a rig that is this sturdy,&#8221; Medeiros explained. &#8220;It is crazy. It\u2019s not bolted onto any of the walls and it doesn\u2019t shake.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 id=\"belt-squat\">Belt Squat<\/h3>\n<p>Per Medeiros, he has a belt squat machine in his gym \u2014 fashioned underneath a pull-up bar \u2014 that assists in body maintenance and injury prevention. There are also some heavier-weighted dumbbells, a <a data-lasso-id=\"197351\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/andrea-thompson-log-lift-world-record-140-kilograms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">Log Lift<\/a> tool, and a multipurpose <a data-lasso-id=\"197352\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/lat-pulldown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">lat pulldown<\/a> machine. <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"cardio\">Cardio<\/h3>\n<p>In a fundamental section of Medeiros&#8217;s gym, he has all of his cardio work in one place. Most everything from row machines and <a aria-label=\"Assault Bikes (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/air-bike-workouts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\" data-lasso-id=\"197506\">Assault <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/air-bike-workouts\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Assault Bikes (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\" data-lasso-id=\"197507\">b<\/a><a aria-label=\"Assault Bikes (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/air-bike-workouts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\" data-lasso-id=\"197508\">ikes<\/a> is represented in this star CrossFitter&#8217;s cardio space. <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"steel-rig-continued\">Steel Rig, Continued <\/h3>\n<p>On the other side of Medeiros&#8217;s steel rig is a reverse hyper attachment, a pad that helps stretch the <a data-lasso-id=\"197353\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/best-back-workouts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">back<\/a> and <a aria-label=\"hamstrings (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/breakingmuscle.com\/best-hamstring-exercises\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"ek-link\" data-lasso-id=\"197509\">hamstrings<\/a>, building strength and easing pain. Alongside it are more bumper plates, some medicine balls and sandbags (including a 150-pound medicine ball and 300-pound sandbag), as well as various jump ropes. If that weren&#8217;t enough, there is yet another squat rack in this portion of Medeiros&#8217;s gym. <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"peg-board\">Peg Board<\/h3>\n<p>In the final main portion of Medeiros&#8217;s gym sits a peg board, fashioned with a plexiglass backing to mimic the set-up during many CrossFit competitions. A plyometrics section, along with jerk blocks, also sits next to this last wall. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cMy dad came out and installed the plexiglass. We got our pegboard in here. We wanted to make sure we had plexiglass because that&#8217;s what we use in competition &#8230; The spot where your feet go is different in every gym, I&#8217;ve done it on brick, I&#8217;ve done it on wood, I&#8217;ve done it on plexiglass \u2026&#8221;
