Hi friends! Happy Friday! What\u2019s going on this weekend? Liv has a dance competition, so we\u2019re headed up to Phoenix, P has a basketball game, and we\u2019re meeting up with friends for gelato. I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend ahead!<\/p>\n

A highlight of the week: it was Maisey\u2019s 4th birthday! \u00a0We celebrated by grilling her a filet mignon – her first ever and she LOOOOVED it – with a night of swimming and fetch, and then a trip to Petco to replenish her tennis ball stash.<\/p>\n

(Easter picture because she spent most of her actual birthday looking like a wet rat from playing in the pool)<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t believe that we\u2019ve had this fluffy, lovey girl for 4 years now. She brings so much joy and love into every.single.day and we\u2019re so lucky she\u2019s ours.<\/p>\n

Fashion + beauty + random:<\/h3>\n

Wrapped up week 4 of homeschooling<\/a>. We finished\u00a0Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing<\/em> <\/a>(I wanted something light and fun to start) and it stood the test of time. We were cracking up at so many points during the book. Judy Blume helped me fall in love with reading for fun when I was young, and it\u2019s amazing that she\u2019s doing the same for P.<\/p>\n

This dress!<\/a> I haven\u2019t really hopped on the butter yellow trend until now but the fabric is dreamy and it\u2019s lined, so not see-through at all. On sale here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Celebrating my friend Ana\u2019s birthday! Her party was a George\u2019s Wine Shop and we had appetizers, desserts, and drank wine and chatted with all of our friends. It was perfection.<\/p>\n

Read, watch, listen:<\/h3>\n

New Sabastian Yatra. SO pumped for his new album to come out in a couple of weeks!<\/a><\/p>\n

Listening to this podcast episode right now.<\/a> It\u2019s WIIIIILD and while I don\u2019t agree with everything he says – or even most of it lol – I\u2019m fascinated. I love hearing different perspectives on health and wellness.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m looking for some more ideas for non-WWII historical fiction. <\u2014 these books ALWAYS suck me in with their captivating stories and beautiful writing, but trying to expand my horizons. Some previous books I\u2019ve read and enjoyed: Mistress of Rome<\/em> series,\u00a0Yellow Wife<\/em>, Lady Tan\u2019s Circle of Women, <\/em>and\u00a0The Lotus Shoes<\/em>, so if you have any ideas for books from different time periods and countries to explore, I\u2019d love to hear them.<\/p>\n

Fitness, health, and good eats:<\/h3>\n

Our weekly tortilla tradition has been going strong.<\/a> This was *girl dinner* for me and the girls one night: tortilla, salad with homemade dressing, and strawberries. Deeelish.<\/p>\n

Making these tacos asap.<\/a><\/p>\n

Exciting news: Lumebox<\/a> is 50% off right now through the 8th! This is one of my favorite things to use in my morning wellness stack \u2014 I \u00a0love it for sore muscles, mood, skin, and injuries. I had a mole removed from my chin, so I\u2019ve been using the red light on it a few times each day. You can use this for so many different things, and I\u2019m not sure when they\u2019ll do a sale like this again. If you\u2019ve had your eye on one, I\u2019d snag it up!<\/a><\/p>\n
