I hope you\u2019re having a lovely morning. We\u2019re off on a little adventure: we\u2019re headed to NYC! New York is one of my favorite places in the world, and I\u2019m soooo excited for some Broadway shows, shopping, all the food and sightseeing. Whether it\u2019s a family road trip or a long-haul flight overseas, I always feel better when I stick to some kind of movement routine while I\u2019m away from home.<\/p>\n<p>But let\u2019s be real: staying active while you\u2019re traveling can be challenging. Time zones, busy schedules, limited equipment, and wanting to relax can make it easy to skip workouts altogether. (And sometimes I do just skip workouts while I\u2019m traveling.)<\/p>\n<p>Over the years &#8211; between family trips, girls\u2019 weekends, and long vacations &#8211; I\u2019ve learned that you don\u2019t need a fancy setup or hours in the gym to feel strong and energized while you\u2019re out of town. Today, I wanted to chat about my go-to travel workouts, how I fit them into trips without it taking over, and the mindset tips that make fitness on the go feel doable and fun.<\/p>\n<h2>Staying Fit While Traveling: My Go-To Workouts + Tips<\/h2>\n<h3>Why I Make Fitness a Priority When Traveling<\/h3>\n<p>When I move my body on vacation or while traveling for work, I notice:<\/p>\n<p>My energy stays higher<\/p>\n<p>I feel less bloated<\/p>\n<p>I get to enjoy all the amazing food without the sluggish feeling<\/p>\n<p>It helps me sleep better and manage stress, which is always appreciated<\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, it\u2019s not about \u201cburning off\u201d meals or forcing mysel to do something I don\u2019t feel like doing. I usually look forward to moving my body each day (and it\u2019s one of the ways I maintain my somewhat sanity lol). For me, it\u2019s about keeping my routine, supporting my mental health, and feeling good so I can enjoy every moment of the trip.<\/p>\n<h3>My Go-To Workouts While Traveling<\/h3>\n<p>Here are my top three ways to move on the road \u2014 all tried, tested, and easy to customize to your schedule and location.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessista.com\/?attachment_id=219659\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-219659 follow noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-219659\" src=\"https:\/\/bestratefinders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/sculpt-society-2-723x1024-1.jpg\" data-fslightbox=\"gallery1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>1. Sculpt Society App Workouts<\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019ve followed me for a while, you know I love<a href=\"https:\/\/refer.thesculptsociety.com\/Angelina!919538f2bc!a\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"> The Sculpt Society. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s my go-to for travel because:<\/p>\n<p>The workous are 10-45 minutes long \u2014 perfect for quick movement sessions and I can adjust depending on how much time I have.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t need much equipment (many workouts can be done with bodyweight, but sometimes I\u2019ll use 3 lb weights or an ankle weight)<\/p>\n<p>They combine dance cardio, strength, and Pilates\/barre-inspired movements, which keep things fun.<\/p>\n<p>The energy is upbeat, which always boosts my mood, even in a hotel room.<\/p>\n<p>The instructors are SO good. Simple Bodyweight Workouts<\/h3>\n<p>When you\u2019re short on time or don\u2019t have access to a gym, bodyweight workouts are a game-changer.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a favorite 15-minute full-body circuit you can do anywhere &#8211; hotel room, Airbnb, even a park:<\/p>\n<p>10 air squats<\/p>\n<p>10 push-ups (modify on your knees or incline on a chair\/bed if needed)<\/p>\n<p>10 walking lunges each leg<\/p>\n<p>20 bicycle crunches<\/p>\n<p>20 glute bridges<\/p>\n<p>30-second plank<\/p>\n<p>Repeat for 3\u20134 rounds with minimal rest.<\/p>\n<p>This routine hits all the major muscle groups, keeps your heart rate up, and doesn\u2019t require a single piece of equipment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessista.com\/barcelona-adventures\/hotel-gym\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-196125 follow noopener noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-196125\" src=\"https:\/\/bestratefinders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/hotel-gym-768x1024-1.jpg\" data-fslightbox=\"gallery1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>3. Quick Hotel Gym Circuit<\/h3>\n<p>If your hotel has a small gym, I like to keep things simple but effective with this mix of strength and cardio.<\/p>\n<h4>Strength Circuit:<\/h4>\n<p>Do 3 rounds of:<\/p>\n<p>10 squats (goblet squat with dumbbell if available)<\/p>\n<p>10 deadlifts (dumbbells or bar if available)<\/p>\n<p>10 bent-over rows<\/p>\n<p>10 bench push-ups<\/p>\n<p>10 each leg bench step-ups<\/p>\n<p>12 bench hip raises<\/p>\n<p>30-second plank<\/p>\n<h3>Cardio Blitz:<\/h3>\n<h4>Treadmill Hill Workout:<\/h4>\n<p>Start at 2% incline and warm up at an easy pace.<\/p>\n<p>Increase incline by 2% every 2 minutes until you reach 10%.<\/p>\n<p>Hold at 10% for 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Decrease back to 2% and sprint for 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p>Cool down for 2\u20133 minutes at a flat or low incline.<\/p>\n<p>This combo gets your heart rate up, challenges your muscles, and leaves you feeling strong without spending an hour in the gym.<\/p>\n<h4>Tips for Staying Consistent on the Road<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Plan Ahead:<\/strong> I usually decide before the trip which days I\u2019ll work out. A little planning goes a long way. I also have zero expectations. If it works out (heh) that\u2019s great; if not, that\u2019s ok, too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pack the Essentials:<\/strong> I always toss a resistance band loop, a refillable water bottle, and my sneakers into my bag.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make It Fun:<\/strong> Choose workouts you enjoy &#8211; dance cardio in your hotel room, a hike, a beach walk &#8211; anything that gets you moving counts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hydrate and Rest:<\/strong> Travel can be dehydrating and exhausting. Staying hydrated and prioritizing sleep will make workouts feel easier.<\/p>\n<p>With a few go-to workouts and a flexible mindset, you can keep your energy up, support your health, and come home feeling great.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re using <a href=\"https:\/\/refer.thesculptsociety.com\/Angelina!919538f2bc!a\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Sculpt Society<\/a>, squeezing in a bodyweight workout, or hitting a quick hotel gym circuit, remember that something is always better than nothing.
