Hello hello! Happy Friday! Hope you\u2019ve had a wonderful week. What are you up to this weekend? We were originally planning on a short getaway to San Diego but both kids are still a little traveled-out and requested to stay home and chill. (Liv is also still working away on her summer packet.) It will be nice to swim and catch up with friends before we\u2019re back in the school hustle.<\/p>\n

Other than that, I\u2019m getting a much-needed pedicure (bless), catching up on work stuff, and taking a hot yoga class. I hope you have a fun and lovely weekend ahead!<\/p>\n

Friday Faves 7.28<\/h2>\n

Read, watch, listen:<\/h3>\n

Liv and I have been watching High School Musical, The Musical: The Series<\/em>\u00a0on Disney+ and it\u2019s SO.good. We\u2019re heading into Season 3 so we can be caught up when the new season is released. The songs, humor, plot lines, it\u2019s all adorable. I\u2019ve loved watching it with her.<\/p>\n

I had a Kindle maybe 10 years ago and it got old and broke, so I\u2019d gone back to reading paper books and digital books on my phone or the iPad. I decided to order a new one for Prime Day and am so pumped about it<\/a>. I love the smaller size of the Paperwhite, like a giant iPhone, minus the distractions of my phone, email, and social media. What should I download first??<\/p>\n

Fashion + beauty:<\/h3>\n

Ok, so these aren\u2019t exactly *fashion* (more function!) but I got P a pair of vivobarefoot shoes<\/a> and they are SO cute. They fit her feet perfectly, she doesn\u2019t have to worry about tying them, and she said they make her run fast (the ultimate kid test).<\/p>\n

Since I\u2019ve recently had to toss my skincare and makeup twice – give me like 6 months of happy eyes and then I\u2019ll go back to my usual stuff – I\u2019ve been switching things up and trying different brands. I ordered this Vitamin C serum from Thrive Market<\/a>. It has great ingredients, a unique jelly-like texture that fully absorbs, and I notice a brighter skin texture when I use it.<\/p>\n

Stainless steel gua sha<\/a><\/p>\n

For the same reason, I got a new gua sha stone but chose one that\u2019s easier for me to clean, since the stone ones are more porous. It\u2019s HEAVY and feels amazing.<\/p>\n

Fitness + good eats:<\/h3>\n

Never underestimate the power of meal prep veggies! I love making a huge skillet of veggies to have on hand for the week. This week, it was onion, bell pepper, zucchini, tomatoes from the garden, artichokes, all saut\u00e9ed together. I\u2019ll add this to wraps, egg scrambles, sandwiches, or as a side with lunch.<\/p>\n

Really glad we\u2019ll be back to school soon with way less screen time<\/a>.<\/p>\n
