Hi friends! Happy Friday! How was the week? I hope you had a great one! Ours was pretty low-key. The Pilot flew nights, the girls had all of their usual events and activities, and I\u2019ve been here working on blog content, client calls, and podcast interviews. We have an event this weekend that I\u2019m looking forward to, and I\u2019m still looking for a dress. If you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Other than the event, I\u2019m teaching barre, working on some fitness programming, and it\u2019s movie night at the kids\u2019 school.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you\u2019re loving in the comments section below.<\/p>\n

Friday Faves 2.9<\/h2>\n

Life:<\/h3>\n

We went to the Annual Fighter Wing awards banquet in Phoenix and it was a blast as usual. It\u2019s fun to see friends we haven\u2019t caught up with in a long time and also celebrate some hardworking and inspiring squadron members.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

It was hard to believe that this was the last time the Pilot will ever wear mess dress. This time next year, he\u2019ll be RETIRED!! Tbh, I\u2019m more than ready, but I can tell it\u2019s going to be bittersweet for him. His military career has been a huge part of his identity for so long, and I know he\u2019ll miss it.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

I\u2019m definitely looking forward to more stability and a return to the airlines, but I\u2019ll definitely miss seeing him in his mess dress and flight suit. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

(dress was from RTR.<\/a> It wasn\u2019t my fave dress I\u2019ve ever rented, but all of my top picks were gone. It was ok for the occasion.)<\/p>\n

Since we were in Phoenix, the kids requested a hike at Camelback. It\u2019s probably their favorite hike, which doesn\u2019t surprise me at all.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

They climb and skip around while I fear for everyone\u2019s lives. It\u2019s a great time, I tell ya \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

The first climb is extremely intense – you can hold onto guard rails because it\u2019s so steep and high –<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

but after that, the intensity goes down a bit. It\u2019s an incredible view, and the weather was perfection.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

We also tried the Original Chop Shop for the first time, and it was SO, so good. I got the gf hummus and veggie wrap (added chicken) and we\u2019ll definitely be back.<\/p>\n

High Performance Health.<\/a> This is going to be my first 2024 certification and I\u2019m so excited to dive into this one.
