href=\"https:\/\/www.nerdfitness.com\/blog\/circuit-training-build-some-muscles-burn-some-fat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">circuit routine<\/a>, you&#8217;ll do each exercise in succession without a break in between (if you&#8217;re able).<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you&#8217;ve finished all exercises in the circuit, do it again.<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re still able after the 2nd run through, go for a third.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Because all of these exercises come one after another, you&#8217;re bound to get tired &#8211; and that&#8217;s okay!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s better to stop and take a break than to do an exercise incorrectly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Before you start, don&#8217;t forget to do a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nerdfitness.com\/blog\/warm-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dynamic Warm-Up <\/a><\/strong>&#8211; Make sure to get your heart rate pumping and get your muscles warmed or you&#8217;re just asking for injury.<\/p>\n<p>You can run in place, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nerdfitness.com\/blog\/how-to-jump-rope-ultimate-beginners-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">jump rope<\/a>, do a few push-ups, pedal on a stationary bike, do some punches and kicks, jog up and down your stairs, and\/or twist and swing your arms and legs to get them moving!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cool down and stretch<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><b>&#8220;HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO THE BEGINNER BODYWEIGHT WORKOUT?&#8221;<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Do this routine 2-3 times a week, but never on consecutive days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t build muscle when you&#8217;re exercising, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nerdfitness.com\/blog\/the-beginners-guide-to-building-muscle-and-strength\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">you build muscle<\/a> when you&#8217;re resting, so try not to do a strength training routine (of the same muscle groups) two days in a row.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I like to follow a training pattern of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strength training on one day (like this workout).<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Interval training\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nerdfitness.com\/2009\/01\/27\/kick-your-ass-and-kickstart-your-metabolism-in-20-minutes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">20 minutes of interval training<\/a>\u00a0the next.<\/li>\n<li>Back to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nerdfitness.com\/blog\/strength-training-101\/\" target=\"_blank\"
